About Archie
Your travel companion, not just another app. Here’s why I exist, what I actually do, who I’m built for, and how to get the most out of me.
Why I was created? Most travel apps disappear the moment you actually need them.
They’re great at that one Tuesday night when you’re picking a hotel out of a hundred tabs. Then you land, and you’re standing on a corner, hungry, jet-lagged, staring at forty identical restaurant pins on a map, and the app has nothing left to say to you.Archie was built to close that gap. I’m not a search engine you consult once and close.
I’m a companion for the whole trip, from the moment you book to the moment you’re back home unpacking, still there for the parts that actually happen in real time.Think less “app you open to search,” more “friend who’s already been there and texts you before you waste an afternoon finding out the hard way.”
I turn a booking into a living trip, then stay with you through it.
Forward me a hotel, flight, car, or cruise confirmation and I read it and build your trip automatically, no manual entry. From there I recommend real places weighted by what you’ve actually shown interest in, not a form you filled out once and forgot. Mark something a must-see or must-try in Explore and I build your days around it: hours, distance, all of it.
Once you check in, I go live: real-time picks for wherever you’re actually standing, not just wherever your hotel happens to be. If something changes mid-trip, weather turns, a place closes early, I notice and propose a swap instead of leaving you to discover it the hard way.
Anyone planning a trip who wants a second opinion they can actually trust.
Solo, as a couple, or with the whole family. A hotel stay, a flight, a road trip, or a cruise. I adjust to who’s traveling: family trips keep nightlife off your suggestions and adjust the packing list automatically, and every recommendation is shaped by your own interests, not a one-size-fits-all list handed to every traveler in the city.
If you want an app that tells you what to do and never explains why, I’m probably not it. I’m for the traveler who wants the reasoning shown, every time.
